This space features a Crestron control panel mounted to the wall at the front of the room between the PC box and the room's 86" Touch TV Think Hub. This panel allows for easy control over audio; video feed, cameras, and power to the TV and the projector on the far side of the room. Mounted on the walls on either side of the room are four glass whiteboards, and one large whiteboard at the back of the room on which the projector can display. On that same wall there is an AVer PTZ camera. Mounted in the ceiling is a Shure Microphone array tile, making this room fully Zoom capable.
Some of our classrooms have additional TV screens on the side or at the back of the room. Many times there is a camera near the additional screens. With this arrangement, if there are remote students joining the class, they can be seen on the back TVs. When the professor looks at that screen, the relative position of the camera makes the remote student feel like the professor is looking at them.
The AVer TR530 PTZ camera is USB connected to the classroom PC for use in video conferencing applications such as Zoom. The camera has pan, tilt, and zoom capability which are controlled with a touch panel or a remote. They do have a simple tracking feature that can be enabled or disabled.
Some of our short throw Epson projectors are touch capable. A short-throw projectors is one that is installed directly above the whiteboard. The short throw projectors that have a white casing are the interactive models that allow for touch interaction with the Built-in PC.
The NC 110 is a wide-angle camera that is typically installed at the front of the classroom to capture the view of the students.
The camera can be controlled by the Q-SYS Touch Screen Controller found on the podium. The camera should default to a wide view, but allows for digital panning, tilting, and Zooming.
These microphones are an array of multiple mics to pick up all the voices in the room. These microphones are connected to the Built-in PC for use in video conferencing software such as Zoom.
