This space, last updated in 2024, has a QSC touchscreen allowing for volume; projector, and camera control, mounted on a new adjustable podium emblazoned with an FLC logo. Facing the students are two whiteboards, on which two Epson short throw projectors display. The white projector also features touch control. This space also features a small QSC Network camera mounted between the two white boards and a single QSC controlled PTZ camera at the back of the room.
Some of our short throw Epson projectors are touch capable. A short-throw projectors is one that is installed directly above the whiteboard. The short throw projectors that have a white casing are the interactive models that allow for touch interaction with the Built-in PC.
With Schlessman Family Hall, the CATS team has been able to start constructing our own modern podiums using the QSYS AV system. The newest podiums come in two sizes:

Q-SYS is a programmable AV Control platform. The CATS team has two Q-SYS certified AV engineers on staff, allowing us to troubleshoot, redesign, and adapt the room's control panel.
Starting with Schlessman in 2023, Q-SYS has become the new standard system for controlling the equipment in the teaching space.
The NC 110 is a wide-angle camera that is typically installed at the front of the classroom to capture the view of the students.
The camera can be controlled by the Q-SYS Touch Screen Controller found on the podium. The camera should default to a wide view, but allows for digital panning, tilting, and Zooming.
The Q-SYS PTZ cameras are positioned to capture the podium area. These cameras are controlled from the Q-SYS Touch Panel Controller on the podium. The PTZ designation stands for Pan, Tilt, and Zoom allowing for repositioning of the view.
