CSWS 230

This space, last updated in the summer pf 2025, features a QSC touch control panel mounted to the New Podium allowing for easy volume; display, and camera controls. Facing the students is a large white board on which the room's projector can display. Mounted at the back of the room are two 43" LG TVs and an AVer PTZ camera. Installed in the ceiling is a Shure microphone array tile, making this space fully Zoom capable. These paired with the small network camera also mounted on the podium makes this space Skyflex capable.

Additional Screens

Some of our classrooms have additional TV screens on the side or at the back of the room. Many times there is a camera near the additional screens. With this arrangement, if there are remote students joining the class, they can be seen on the back TVs. When the professor looks at that screen, the relative position of the camera makes the remote student feel like the professor is looking at them.

QSC Control System

Q-SYS is a programmable AV Control platform. The CATS team has two Q-SYS certified AV engineers on staff, allowing us to troubleshoot, redesign, and adapt the room's control panel.

Starting with Schlessman in 2023, Q-SYS has become the new standard system for controlling the equipment in the teaching space.
