This space features a QSC touch control panel mounted to the Nomad N Desk allowing for easy volume; display, and camera controls. Facing the students are four large whiteboards on which the room's four projectors can display. Mounted at the far wall of the room is an AVer PTZ camera. Installed in the ceiling is a SHURE microphone array tile, making this space fully Zoom capable.
The AVer TR530 PTZ camera is USB connected to the classroom PC for use in video conferencing applications such as Zoom. The camera has pan, tilt, and zoom capability which are controlled with a touch panel or a remote. They do have a simple tracking feature that can be enabled or disabled.
Seen primarily in EBH computer labs and SFH lab rooms, the Nomad N-desk is a multi-purpose desk with AV incorporated into them, providing an encapsulated system with control, video switching, and multiple source inputs. Most Nomad N-Desks will have these features:
Q-SYS is a programmable AV Control platform. The CATS team has two Q-SYS certified AV engineers on staff, allowing us to troubleshoot, redesign, and adapt the room's control panel.
Starting with Schlessman in 2023, Q-SYS has become the new standard system for controlling the equipment in the teaching space.
These microphones are an array of multiple mics to pick up all the voices in the room. These microphones are connected to the Built-in PC for use in video conferencing software such as Zoom.
