This space features a QSC touch control panel mounted to the Nomad Podium allowing for easy volume, camera, and projector controls. Facing the students is a large white board and a pull down screen for the room's standard projector can display on. Mounted at the back of the room is an Aver PTZ Camera. Mounted in the ceiling is a Sure Microphone array Tile making this space fully Zoom capable.
The AVer 310PTZ Pro camera is USB connected to the classroom PC for use in video conferencing applications such as Zoom. The camera has pan, tilt, and zoom capability which are controlled with a remote. They do not have a tracking feature.
The Nomad Podiums are multi-purpose lecterns with AV incorporated into them, providing an encapsulated system with control, video switching, and multiple source inputs. Most Nomads will have these features:
Q-SYS is a programmable AV Control platform. The CATS team has two Q-SYS certified AV engineers on staff, allowing us to troubleshoot, redesign, and adapt the room's control panel.
Starting with Schlessman in 2023, Q-SYS has become the new standard system for controlling the equipment in the teaching space.
These microphones are an array of multiple mics to pick up all the voices in the room. These microphones are connected to the Built-in PC for use in video conferencing software such as Zoom.
