This space features a QSC touch control panel mounted to the podium allowing for easy volume; camera, and display controls. Facing the students is an 86" touch TV. Mounted at the back of the room is an AVer PTZ camera. Mounted in the ceiling is a Shure microphone array tile, making this space fully Zoom capable.
The AVer 310PTZ Pro camera is USB connected to the classroom PC for use in video conferencing applications such as Zoom. The camera has pan, tilt, and zoom capability which are controlled with a remote. They do not have a tracking feature.
The Dell Touch TVs allow for touch and pen interactions with a connected device. The Built-in PCs in the classroom are wired to the screens. The screens are not smart in anyway, they just provide a touch interface with a connected computer. In a few rooms there is a USB cable with the HDMI cable. Connecting that paired USB cable allows your laptop to use the camera and microphones for the room.
Q-SYS is a programmable AV Control platform. The CATS team has two Q-SYS certified AV engineers on staff, allowing us to troubleshoot, redesign, and adapt the room's control panel.
Starting with Schlessman in 2023, Q-SYS has become the new standard system for controlling the equipment in the teaching space.
These microphones are an array of multiple mics to pick up all the voices in the room. These microphones are connected to the Built-in PC for use in video conferencing software such as Zoom.
