Call Center

This part-time position helps to provide outstanding support for all faculty, staff, and students at Fort Lewis College. Starting pay is the current minimum wage.

Duties:

  • Answer calls and respond to online requests related to Information Technology on campus
  • Troubleshoot and resolve various Windows PC and Macintosh hardware and software problems
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of clients
  • Learn the organizational structure of the Information Technology department so that calls can be promptly routed to appropriate teams
  • Utilize FootPrints software for call tracking and resolution
  • Contribute to the construction and maintenance of the Call Center Knowledge Base within FootPrints

Qualifications:

  • Registered student with a GPA of 2.5 or above
  • Strong communication skills - must be able to speak in a professional manner to a variety of clients
  • Strong problem solving and technical computer skills
  • Collaborative team player
  • Familiarity with Windows and Macintosh operating systems
  • Positive customer service-oriented attitude

Computer Labs, Resident Support Office

This part-time position performs tasks related to the maintenance and function of all Academic Computing Labs on campus and is the first line of support for students connecting to the Fort Lewis College Network. Starting pay is the current minimum wage.

Duties:

  • Proactively monitor all lab activity including hardware and software support, printer paper and toner, clean tables and computers, ensure no food or drinks in the lab, enforce Academic Computing lab policies, answer phones, provide information, report issues to Help Desk staff, keep literature racks stocked.
  • Assist on-campus students with getting connected to the Fort Lewis College network and other related duties.

Qualifications:

  • Positive customer service-oriented attitude
  • Registered student with a GPA of 2.5 or above
  • Technical computer skills
  • Familiarity with Windows & Macintosh operating systems
